Sorry to be so direct, but there are a millions people like you, including me, who provide design services and posting on Yahoo! Answers isn’t going to get you any real work (especially with no portfolio).
The best thing to do if you don’t have connections to freelance work is to create an online portfolio of some kind, and promote yourself locally using it combined with business cards and word of mouth.
Additionally, depending on your situation, LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/) may also be of use to you.
I have never used them, so I’m without experience and only sharing the url with you (this is not a recommendation), but perhaps you want to check out http://www.getafreelancer.com/
Good luck!

No one will give you work without seeing your work. I work in the same feild and in marketing. I know how it is out there. Try going to local businesses and setting up a website with a portfolio. When you go to local businesses make sure you bring some things you’ve designed. Do you know any friends who have businesses? Go to them first. Network with others. Use one of the online services such as printrunner.com for printing. They do drop shipping. Market yourself in your area as being able to print in low cost and in full color. Local printers have a hard time competing with full color printing. The online places can do it so much cheaper. You could mark up what you order from them, or you could just be honest and tell them where you get it and then just charge for design. Hope that helps. There is alot more to it, which I wont go into. Research all you can.
