Your house should be a nice cozy place where you can enjoy life. Your definition and/ or understanding about a house might be slightly different than this. Yet, you surely don’t want a house that is damp, humid, or even smelly. Here are three simple steps that you can start with to ensure a well ventilated, clean, and cozy house:
Air Ventilation. Even if you are using air conditioners in you house, please allow the morning breeze to come in every morning. Turn off the air conditioners, opened up the doors and the windows to allow fresh air to come pouring in. The reason is to enable the air to exchange with clean, fresher one. Using air conditioners and always have the doors and windows closed all the time is not good as the air never change and get recycled all the time.
Manage your waste. Waste is not pleasant, whether it is dry or wet. So, get rid of them as soon as possible and do not wait or compile them for too long. Especially the leftover from your meals, vegetables, or fruits. Despite its bad smell, they tend to lure cockroach, mice, etc. To neutralize the bad smell, if it sticks into your trash can, pour some ash or coffee powder. This will bound the smell so later you can easily wash the trash can.
If you consider yourself to be a green individual, go an extra mile on this waste management. You can do a simple waste seperation: separate your waste into organic/ non-organic. Next, you can also do the household composting with your waste. Works great if you love gardening as you can use the compost. Else, you can simply do the 3R: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Bring some fragrances in. This does not mind the usual air refresher or the sprayed ones. Instead, why don’t you try to put some natural aroma therapy in your house. Flowers are the easiest way to start: roses, jasmine, or any other types of flowers. If you are not to fond of gardening or you only have limited space, try to put cinnamon powder. Other ingredients you can try is a mix of lemon and cloves. This can be put into a small cup or into the candle container.
