Revamp Your Bathroom

Some people love to spend hours in the bathroom. Whether it is seen as a way to release stress or just pure enjoyment, bathroom is an essential part of our house. Nowadays, even more people is putting more features into the bathroom; cable TV, audio –set, plasma TV behind the mirror, etc. Dimension of the bathroom is no longer a limiting factor for people to revamp their bathroom. The most important is having a comfortable and clean bathroom. Here are some tips on revamping your bath room:

Use natural materials; you can use small pebbles in the floor, bamboo as the decorating elements, and/ or exposed walls. These elements will provide the feeling of being in the outdoor when you bathe. If the overall environment, you can also apply an open air bathroom.

Play with colors; you can use natural or warm colors in the bathroom – brown, khaki, beige, or light yellow are good colors to start with. Else, you can apply the traditional white color and accentuate it with other colors from the wash basin, shower, and other bathroom essentials.

Fancy up the curtain; if you are using a curtain in your bathroom, you just have another element to play with. Try replacing the curtain once a week or once a week. Do not get stuck with the plain, monochromatic curtain. Use fancy colors instead, red, blue, yellow, or simply mix them all together!

Go green; how about putting a small pot of your favorite plant or flower inside the bathroom? This will bring some fresh scent into the bathroom. However, note that the plant should be taken out in the sun once in a while if your bathroom is not equipped with windows. This to make sure they still can do the photosynthesis process.

Small library; if you like to read, listen to the music or watching the news while bathing, why not having a small library? This small library could be stuffed with your favorite novels, newspaper, magazine, CDs, and a small TV. Mind the amount of the materials you put in the bathroom or else you might not be coming out from the bathroom for hours!
