THE ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT OF THE EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CENTRE IN GDANSK, POLAND. The designed building of ESC has a shape of a CHAIN LINK being the symbol of the bond joining all the people involved in constructing a democratic order, particularly millions of members of the first Solidarity. The archetype image of a community enchanted in a central building has accompanied man from the times of erecting the first monolithic constructions — we want to use it by telling about history in a modern architectural language.
